"The time is now: a new Token, a new wave of mayhem for dancefloors worldwide. For 6 we have the first Belgian artist on Token. It's been a while since we saw a release by Dimitri Andreas and since he released his widely well received Panther EP on the highly acclaimed Music Man label in 2003, the mass was hungry for a new release. 'Tiger' was made in 2006 and since then heavily hyped by a few DJs. Reactions were too hysterical to ignore so this track screamed for a release. The track contains a nasty groove and accompanied by fierce, dark, mystical strings, it flows into a break which drives any crowd into mass hysteria. The shrill bleeps after the break ensure a mental hypnosis and a physical pressure on the feet. London-based producer and Blueprint legend James Ruskin takes care of another interpretation for the flip side. With his recent album The Dash on Tresor, he continues his legacy. Here, Mr. Ruskin keeps the groove of the original track and gives it a bit more intimacy and funk."

"Token 9 connects a new artist to the label. Supporting Token releases since the beginning, now Oscar Mulero steps up to add his own flavour to the slowly growing Token catalogue. Hailing from Madrid, Mr. Mulero is the no. 1 Spanish export in techno. He has been DJ'ing since 1988 and has acquired a nice back catalog production-wise, not only on his own two labels Warm Up & Pole but also on Tresor, Surface, Theory & Coda. Take Seven EP takes off with the beatless, sparkling 'Cuckooland,' then dives immediately in the raging darkness of the title track. 'Take Seven' is a brutal peak-time techno track with acid influences. Mulero also imports the acid marks in the b-side tracks. 'House Of Clouds' has a throbbing hypnotic drive with a sort of Axis feel. 'Seven Kinds Of Sin' closes the b-side and the EP with a softer and deeper groove filled with acid from beginning to end. "Arrestar, hailing from Brussels, is the second Belgian artist releasing on Token. He sent me this killer IDM/techno track some time ago and it was immediately a favourite of mine. I fell in love with it the moment I heard it. In the end, it just needed a release. I'm not the only supporter of this track: Inigo Kennedy, Oscar Mulero & Grovskopa love it, too, so they decided to contribute with each another interpretation of the track, which in the end results in a diverse package."

Token now presents its third release for 2012, introducing Ctrls from Copenhagen, Denmark. Troels B-Knudsen is an ex-drum & bass head and has earned his producer stripes throughout the years. He slowly made his transition to techno, and last year, he and long-time friend Lasse Buhl formed Northern Structures. His debut for Token is called Interface EP and features three powerful pieces in Ctrls' own style: hard-edged, stripped-down, metallic sounds, detailed drum programming and a mean low-end.

"This record doesn't need much info. The original TOKENSPEC1 was one of the techno records last year and sold out in a week. As we still get a lot of demand for this timeless track, we decided to release the original mix, which wasn't included on the red vinyl, together with 2 fresh remixes by Theory-boss and notorious 3 decks-wizard Ben Sims. All 3 goodies are pressed on a nice blue marbled vinyl. Nothing more to say then to conclude this is a major floor-filler and a nice start for Token in 2009. Already supported by Derrick May, Adam Beyer, Ben Sims, Dave Clarke, Steve Rachmad."
