Artist: GOLDFARB, SARAH
Title: Panenka EP
Label: TOYS FOR BOYS (BELGIUM)
Format: 12"
Price: $11.50
Catalog #: TFBR 013EP
"The mysterious Sarah Goldfarb (Jean Vincent Luccini) has been raising hell for the last year or so with releases on Dumb Unit, Treibstoff, Curle, and a roof lifting remix for Christian Quast on Obsolete Recordings. However Luccini/Goldfarb has been passionate about house and techno since completing his studies in Cinema in 1994, a year that just a handful of people on the entire planet have any memories of."

Artist: VECTOR & LUST ADDICT, MARCUS
Title: Buffalo EP
Label: TOYS FOR BOYS (BELGIUM)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: TFBR 014EP
"Support from Ricardo Villalobos. Toys For Boys presents the first 12" from Marcus Vector and Lust Addict, following their digital collaborations and solo 12"s for Obsolete and Nomor, featuring two smooth and sleazy originals, plus remixes from Michal Ho and Null.Eins. Brussels-based Marcus Vector has made a splash on the European techno scene, not just as a DJ and producer, but also the co-owner and label manager of Toys For Boys Records. Once again, he teams up with the skillful Lust Addict aka Vernon Bara, whose numerous past productions received support from the likes of DJ Sneak, Brett Johnson and Ralph Lawson. Following their co-productions and remixes released digitally by Immigrant and Playground from Lessizmore, Buffalo marks the duo's vinyl debut. 'Drum Rollin Red' kicks off the EP, an energetic track full of atmosphere, driven by a diverse detailed drum palette, from electro snares to tribal beats. Null.Eins' remix offers a different take, introducing a highly melodic acid bass line to craft a totally different vibe, while still retaining the playful percussive elements from the original version. On the flip side, 'We Love to be Yonce' begins with an extended intro based on crunchy claps and snappy toms, building up until the shimmery synth melody drops in, bringing a housey vibe to the dancefloor. This one shows the duo's ability to create a poppier tune without sounding commercial or compromised. Following last fall's Screw the Coffeemaker album, Zurich's Michal Ho returns with a solid remix, bringing the track more toward the techno end of the spectrum, but still infused with bounce and mischief, and definitely loads of funk."

Artist: SIERRA_SAM & BLOODY MARY
Title: Landscapes EP
Label: TOYS FOR BOYS (BELGIUM)
Format: 12"
Price: $12.00
Catalog #: TFBR 015EP
"ToysForBoys co-founder Sierra_Sam teams up with his pal Bloody Mary for the Landscapes EP, featuring two collaborative tracks, plus a remix from Paris's Paul Ritch. Sam and Mary, from Belgium and France respectively, both ditched their homelands in the last few years to settle in Berlin, where they've found a welcoming home for their techno careers. Since releasing on Trapez and co-producing for UR's Suburban Knight, Sam has gone on to co-run and release on the TFB label, as well as releasing productions on Nomor and UMF. He also plays his live PA set around Europe in addition to his residency at Tresor. Bloody Mary has released two EPs for Sender, while maintaining a lucrative DJ schedule across Europe. In the wake of their Spielbank EP for Einmaleins earlier this spring, Sierra_Sam and Bloody Mary return with the fruits of their recent studio efforts. 'Day Light' borrows elements from both electro and tribal and fits them into a snappy, 4/4 techno scheme. 'Night Time' is distinguished by its eerie, ambient glow, with layers of percussion that weave together into a constellation of rhythm. Paul Ritch attempts to steal the show with his vicious remix of 'Day Light.' Like his past releases on Resopal and Get Physical, it's nearly overflowing with energy, driven by staccato snare rolls and a snarling, fuzzy bassline that cuts in and out without warning. After hearing a round of Sierra_Sam vs Bloody Mary, we find that the real winner is whoever gets to experience these tracks in the club! These three audio landscapes will transport the crowd from the dancefloor into a different place entirely. Sam and Mary are continuing their work together for a future release on Contexterrior. Full support from Adam Bayer, Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Jay Haze."
