Hugo Frederick has been bubbling under the surface of Melbourne's incredibly strong electronic scene for years; his debut EP, Skin, soars in on an intricate combination of whirling ambient undercurrents and classic '90s house pianos. "Skin" is a textural piece tied together with classic keys and the introduction of a fierce kick drum halfway through. "Remote" draws the listener back in with a more subdued affair, enticing with wondering synths and inclusive vocals and culminating in a perfect release.
