"The bulk of these songs were written and recorded immediately following Sept. 11, 2001. What clearly comes across is a sad weariness with the follies of human nature. This melancholy has always been present in The Residents' work, but never before this tangible. Instead of being lost to anger, they have created some of the most bittersweet and melodic music of their career. There is anger, but it's a resigned anger. Ten years have passed since the Demons Dance Alone tour and no recording of the full show has been released until now. This show was recorded in Oslo, Norway in early 2003."
