"Formed in the fall of 1993, The Sea and Cake remain Sam Prekop, Archer Prewitt, Eric Claridge and John McEntire. The essential difference between The Fawn and the three previous records lies in the approach to song writing mechanics. This was not a conscious effort to shift styles but an effort to incorporate new tools (computers, sequencers, drum machines, etc.).
