Dirt Novitzky, or to name the people behind the project, Helmut Dubnitzky (Cecille / Micro:fon) and Frank Nova aka Monoroom (Freunde Tontraeger / Bond Records) are united not only by their love of music, but also by an interest in climbing large mountains. They therefore chose appropriate titles right from the start and selected one of the most ambitious remixers: Marek Hemmann (Freude am Tanzen / Germany) is a master without equal at combining groove and feeling without descending into clichés. With warm chords, he moves listeners to ecstasy; inevitably all your nerves begin to tingle and you feel the urge to raise your arms to the sky and lose yourself entirely in the sonorous harmonies. The original mix of 'Klang Der Zikaden' ('Sound Of Cicadas') is weighty, but doesn't by any means overpower the dance floor with all-too-often used patterns, while minimalists will enjoy 'Tal Des Schweigens' ('Valley Of Silence'), richly shot through with subdrive.
