"Following the huge success of Joris Voorn's 'Lost Memories' 12" series, his debut artist album Future History on Technasia's Sino offshoot and his new Green label comes his first mix CD. Joining the ranks of Dave Clarke, DJ Hell and Technasia, who have all been firm favourites at Belgium's illustrious techno Mecca, Fuse, Joris Voorn provides us with a new mix that blends old classics with future hits. Featuring tracks from Carl Craig, Sleeparchive, Basic Channel, Arthur Baker, Los Hermanos, Marc Houle, Daniel Bell, Jeff Mills, Lil' Louis, Robert Hood, Kenny Larkin, Chez Damier and Joris himself over some 40 tracks, Joris has used Ableton live technology to 'fuse' together a new template to the DJ mix. Joris is a producer and DJ born and raised in Rotterdam. In his early days he played the violin and later on changed to guitar, but when he began to hear artists like Orbital, The Orb and Leftfield, his focus turned towards electronic music. His first release Muted Trax pt 1 on Dutch label Keynote was well received and picked up on by the likes of Laurent Garnier and Carl Craig. He followed this success with his first release on Sino, Lost Memories Pt.1 which caused a stir amongst the dance community and made Joris a recognised name. If Lost Memories Pt 1 suggested Joris was a true talent, then Pt 2 in the series confirmed it. The piano filled 'Incident' charted in almost every dance magazine of worth, made No. 1 in Mixmag's Techno singles, was play-listed by John Peel and was championed by Carl Cox. From talented newcomer to established artist, Holland's Joris Voorn is causing shock waves through the techno community wherever he goes. Now with Fuse Presents Joris Voorn, the Dutch maestro is set to join the elite world of the DJ jet set. From the subtle new electronic tones of Link, Alex Under and Matthew Dear to the cut and thrust tech-funk of Steve Bug, Ben Sims and Jeff Mills, Joris layers classics over new and unreleased tracks to give a new perspective on the art of dance."
