Kornél Kovács, one third of influential Stockholm label Studio Barnhus alongside Petter Nordkvist and Axel Boman, delivers his debut EP following his 2014 12" single Szikra (BARN 022EP), which appeared on many a year-end list. Opening with the hyper-edited vocals and rolling percussion of "Nordic Rave 4," shrouded in frosty atmospherics and rudebwoy soundbites, the Nincs EP continues with the smooth yet off-kilter IDM track "Utopia, Ohio," before the grandiose pads and descending bassline of the imposing and dizzying "Tooth."
