"'Truizm' opens us up in proper fashion, a teetering drum machine motif works its way in, gearing up for the impressive machine-soul brinkmanship of the track. Benign melodies almost disguise the deadly floor potential of a tune like this, merciless bassline culture at its best. And when a bassline paves the way, not far behind there's the electric detonation of a big, decimated, roller of a break: think Psyche's 'Chicken Noodle Soup' and you're just about gettin there. 'Rite thru' comes over a little reticent at first, more sedate tempo wise, softened by a spoken vocal -- but allowing a sophisticated disintegration of the beat, bass science for sure ... 'Venom' fully delivers on its name -- blorty bass tones show again Outside's predilection for the dirtiest low-end around, only remitting slightly as a looping synth wash and a lovely breakdown offer some releases from the dark, visceral flow of the tune."
