"It was not the hand of chance which secured Sami Sanchez's place in today's DJs and producers arena as one of the freshest, most promising up-and-coming names. Sanchez got his first gig at a street party in Cuba. Playing a mixture of reggaeton, hip hop, garage and ragga, he knew right there and then his future was in music. Whilst at University, studying a degree in Sound Engineering, Sami Sanchez starting working at the cult-status record store Black Market Records (currently BM Soho). Sami soon started extending his musical expertise to DnB, US house and the then-newly developed dubstep and UK Funky. Combining his urban musical expertise and his Latin roots influences, Sami quickly progressed and started playing at top Latin club nights. He imminently became a favourite on the urban Latin scene, playing alongside DJs such as Tony Touch, DJ Nelson, DJ Buddha, Don Omar, Tego Calderon, Andy Boy and Khrisy Angel. It was in 2009 when Sami suffered an acute brain injury, but through sheer determination and strong will to live, he is continuing to follow his dream. Only eight months later, we are proud to announce Sami Sanchez's first official UK Funky release, 'Dirty Salsa' & 'Dirty Trumpet'. Supported by Worldclass Management & BM Soho, the double A-side 12" is already causing a stir on the dancefloor. The dramatic, catchy 'Dirty Trumpet' and the hit-sy 'Dirty Salsa' are no doubt building Sami Sanchez's reputation as one of the UK's finest UK Funky producers.
