Len Faki takes on a couple of classics for 007 of his special edits series, LF RMX. First up is a tweaked version of Steve Stoll's "Reciproheat", elegantly edged while carrying the proper weight to move. DJ Shufflemaster's booming "Housedust" release from the same year however has a wacky tack to its groove, it's mind-bending qualities yet amplified by Faki boiling down the tempo to more current confines. The flipside goes all deep, starring a rework of Valentino Mora's recent space odyssey. A gently pulsing edit of UBX127's "Barabrus" eventually puts a meditative and soothing finishing touch to the EP.

So this EP exists because of nothing but Sarah Gonputh's voice track? How can you remix a song that does not yet exist? The BELP version is a tribute to a woman's voice; sepia-toned, wearing a long, pale raincoat in an industrial London from another time. Steril's bright, shiny version definitely uses Gonputh the most. Protein's version is the most reminiscent of the original reggae vibe -- something like acidofluorescentropical music. Everything good and dirty happens below the belt on Bartellow's version; Pacifico Boy's version is fit for a psycho-circus waltz ballroom; Eshna_TRON's version is the most hardcore thing ever.

Anstam's brand-new remix single combines reworks of Moderat's second single "Gita" with a remix of his dear friend and Moderat label-mate Siriusmo. An unlikely combination you might say, but wait until you hear how well this all melts together. Anstam's "Dustified Dance Edit" of Moderat's "Gita" shows an unexpected almost pop side of Anstam, while the "Bustified Breaks" edit of Siriusmo's "Stinky Wig" explores four-on-the-floor territory the Anstam way.
