In a time before CDJ loop buttons and stone-cold arrangement techniques, bonus beats and beat records were a vital tool for aspiring, working, and tone-deaf DJs. The third release in an unofficial beat-tracks sublabel (see Redshape (RBB 001EP) and Todd Osborn (RBB 002EP) for further reference), Rhythm Trainx Vol 1 tries to breathe new life into that lost craft with an all-star cast: Manuel Tur, I:Cube, Blank Spanner, Disco Nihilist, Âme, and Radio Slave.
