The title track is full of the type of crazy textural landscapes that have become synonymous with Adultnapper's bass-infected sound. Jazz-influenced hooks, sultry vocals and horns-a-plenty, it all makes for an incredible workout. "Compass Rose: Beware. When Adultnapper is at the controls, what often starts out innocently enough as a thick dub rhythm, proves, by the end, to be something entirely more nefarious. On Compass Rose, Adultnapper is up to no good again, wooing the listener with gently pulsating kicks and snappy hats before foreboding tidbits of well placed noise that open the door for an insistent pad rising ever so slowly from the nether regions of consciousness. Like the onset of a migraine, the groove tightens around the pad until its mass obliterates all else... and then, just like that, it melts away to reveal a sweet melodic surprise that is sure to unleash a wave of euphoric emotion on the dance floor. 'Lugubrious': File under surrealist sci-fi soundtracks for the club. Rich with strange atmospherics, listening to 'Lugubrious' evokes scenes of Barbarella exploring an Yves Tanguy landscape, only our heroine had better hurry back to her ship before that sinister sounding synth catches up to her!"

"The Adultnapper is Francis Harris from Brooklyn, New York, a shrewd & clever coeval who reveals his vision of modern electronic dance music on his first EP for Audiomatique entitled Gravity EP -- three new cold twinkling Techno tracks. The well-read producer carefully chose the track names which refer to what he considers as greatest novel of the 20th century: Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon. Much of his relationship with music coincides with his love of literature. When he is working on tunes, he tends to have a specific project or concept in mind. At the time, he was thinking of some specific moments in the novel and this music came to mind. The first track an the a-side named 'Fodder Feeder' refers to the material production of knowledge in media and capital, a feedback loop of control that works in its apparent flaws and mistakes. If one notices, the main synth that comes in is a bit odd and almost out of time, but works in a grinding sort of way. 'Metabulia' on b1 is the living organism that is no organism at all. Just the illusion of humanity as projected by the fodder feeder (the word doesn't even exist). And 'Slothrop' on b2 is actually the main character in Gravity's Rainbow. Now you know."
