"The Alleycats were from Lomita in South Bay. Michigan emigre Randy Stodola was the songwriter/guitarist and driving force, with a penchant for surreal narrative in his lyrics. His wife, Dianne Chai, on bass, and John McCarthy on drums made for one of the tightest outfits around. Musically they probably most resembled meat 'n' potatoes more than any other Dangerhouse punk act." --David Brown
