Magic Box present a reissue of Bacon Fat's Tough Dude, originally released in 1971. Spotted by Mike Vernon, founder of the Blue Horizon label, in a California club in 1969, this superb blues-rock outfit boasted the talents of legendary harmonica player George Smith (who'd played with Otis Rush, Muddy Waters, and many others), Rod Piazza (late of the Dirty Blues Band) and pianist J.D. Nicholson. Boasting some superb harmonica and guitar duels, their second and final album was originally released in the spring of 1971 and makes its long-overdue return to vinyl here, together with background notes and images. Includes insert.
