DES 051EP
|
2005 release. Brooklyn's Lou Teti and Jason Kriveloff aka bgb present their third EP on Dessous. bgb's music can be classified as "funky groove-house" in the broadest sense, while others call it "hi-tech-disco-nouveau." "A Crack In The Glass" is a very funky deep house track with some old school NYC disco influences. "Reckless Nights" follows this path, but with some more techy elements while "Maybe Not" rounds up this well-produced EP.

2004 release. Brooklyn's bgb serve another deep and funky vinyl, featuring three very nice songs, two of them enriched by the lovely vocals of NateĀ“ Bova. The A-side brings us "Com Forca (This Is The Life)," a cool and groovy mixture of basic deep house elements and teetering electronic beats. Delicious. On the flip, "Together" is a classic house tune at its best. Finally, "Radio Bklyn" is a funky and relaxed track to top this vinyl off. What else would a house music lover need?

DES 043EP

2004 release. Bombastic funk and extraordinary grooves make this Dessous single. On the A-side, you'll find the original mixes of "Unk-nown" and "Wha..Kiddin," both extremely relaxed but not lazy; sexy but not sexist; thrilling but not exhausting. And did we already tell you about this hypnotizing groove? On the flip side, Berlin-based Stefan Goldmann pushes his mix of "Wha..kiddin" into more progressive territory.
