Two song release, with download code for three additional songs. "If Ever I Loved is a limited edition 7" release of new material from Montreal-born chanteuse Angela Desveaux. Three of the tracks on the release see Desveaux once again utilizing the drumming and fine production skills of Howard Bilerman, the former drummer with The Arcade Fire. Opener 'If Ever I Loved' is a beautiful lament on the familiar country theme of lost love. On 'Wedding Song,' Desveaux draws influence from her roots and the traditional Irish folk ballads that were a key part of her musical heritage when growing up in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. The lullaby feel of the song hides a darker lyrical theme of marrying too young. Having seen a lot of young women getting married around her, Desveaux couldn't understand their confidence and ability to commit so young. She sees a certain sadness in a marriage not entirely based on love."
