The always on point Freak n' Chic continue their early-2009 bombardment with a superb EP from newcomer Djebali. Starting with the urgent, Chicago vibes of "Don't Be Forced," this 12" features tracks for every point in a set. While the aforementioned cut is peak-time, the sinister "California" is pure afterhours with its spooky synths and heavy funk bass drops. "Son Of Sun" rounds off the vinyl package brilliantly by delivering some old-school, sample-based house to proceedings.
