PFR 158EP

Deadly deep and intense tech house from Anglo-German Berlin-based DJ Mark Henning. "Pusher" is a modern masterpiece: tough, crisp, and fine-tuned for deployment on Stonehenge-sized speaker stacks with the introduction of each element staggered for maximum effect. The kinetic shuffle of "Swingers" follows a similar trajectory, overwhelming the listener with its relentless energy. The hypnotic and hallucinatory "Triple 13" uses the simple yet spooky Hitchcockian device of a single repeated piano note alongside a trippy snatch of processed vocal, while "Satin" explores dreamier territory with a reverberating new age synth motif. Deceptively simple elements combine for a resounding emotional impact.

Mark Henning's "Chicago Sunrise" is where classic a cappella and Mark's distinctive sound collide, resulting in a huge tune. The synths and bass line add their part to complete the track. "Trojan" is the secret weapon and club bomb, the dark side of the release. Afrilounge take it a step deeper in their mixes. The "Back2Basic" mix features the dynamic they are famous for and the "1998 Edit" incorporates the rhythms and vibes of classic house and techno.

FRANKIE 044EP

"Here we go with Mark Henning's 2nd EP on Frankie Recs. A two tracker EP titled Vick For President EP -- we start off with the A-side 'Biggity Giggity,' a track of pure madness! Comprising a mix of quirky sounds and distorted harmonics synths, this is a great example of Mark's ability to combine both a solid groove and a dark atmosphere at the same time. This song definitely kills it on the floor! On the flipside, 'Monster' is even darker and more mental, combining subtle synths arrangements and bleepy FX sounds, it's perfect for late sessions. Two beautifully sinister, outstanding cuts!"

EINMAL 026EP

"Mark Henning is back with a release on Einmaleins Musik and the label is happy to have Mark's funkiness pressed on vinyl! The A-side track is rich with sounds, funky n' groovy, changing all the time and giving life to the dancefloor. The B-side track is a more stripped-down techno track with voices and background sounds that make for an adventurous sound landscape! The track keeps evolving and gets the funk back in after the second half. A special, different release just like Mark knows how to do!"

FREUDE 024EP

"Dear dancers and listeners, hereby through the British e-artist Mark Henning, the essence in minimal sound aesthetics is served with maximum effect. Several small sound sketches are sorted through elaborately schemed tone -- and rhythmic understanding into four galloping monsters. Nothing is left to chance -- improvisation, method, the experimental and effect is via the conductor Henning and intimate production on the dance floor performed in four acts. Track 1: Whipping gallop, a voice out of the darkroom dynamic atmospheric interferences, blistering luminosity and maximum force where everyone is the captain of his own bridge! Track 2: The T.Rex-boogie is back in the wigwam, for as long as the snow keeps falling! Track 3: When movement is effected by fire spilled onto the floor -- unrestrained feet aren't exactly out of the realm of reality. Track 4: Why should a dude come out of the club and go home when such glimmering electric staccato funk is massaging and soothing the joints. Since modern technology made it possible to have this type of stirring dynamic at home -- early rising neighbours cannot do anything other than jig along."

"'With the Folks' -- deep galloping rich micro-house, which accompanied by effective grinning samples, infiltrated with screech-fragments. The piano sequences are placed through seemingly psychotic curt ambient sonar, alternating now and again before the end of the song. 'Jessy Barbaron' -- thumping-crunch house with dub-techno seasoning that serves justice to the ghost rider aesthetic. Board and enter the fright car, where from the vehicle the arrangement jumps through the wall. 'Wise Crackz' -- lovable loony-bin techno-house for the lunch hour, no one is tied down, and everybody has permission to groove. The next visits are just simply ignored 'Late night tv' is jump-step-twist-tempo-dub with neighbor angering bass. Alas, here we aren't on the dance floor. Well then the title, the interpreted scratches and DJ thereby penetrate the local club, or perhaps just hoist the plate."
