This single is extremely rare among collectors worldwide. A 1983 boogie funk gem. Hailing from Houston, Texas, Jefferson Ink was a family-based project led by Willie Jefferson Jr., rooted in a vibrant and self-sufficient local scene. Far removed from major labels, the group operated within the independent ethos that defined many African American acts of the 1970s and '80s -- where self-production was often the only path to getting music recorded and released. Their discography is scarce, which has only increased its value over time. Among these gems is the single "Fight The Pipe" and "Girl, you turn me on" now regarded as a cult classic in the rare groove circuit.
