A digital remix/repackage of the 2 K. Surfers LPs that ReR issued to little acclaim in the 80s. The band (actually, just one guy, Warric Sony, SA's lone white indie experimental political commentator/pop singer/hipster) was from South Africa and had illegally recorded this music, and sure, the politics of their existence is curious, but the overtly New Wave tone of their music (potentially described as "a heady mix of reggae, hi-life, and early-Zappa influence pop,") quickly mows down any possibility of contemporary digestion.
