M 004EP

Repressed; 1995 release. "M 4 marks a break on the Maurizio label and starts what will become the famous M-series. This 12" together with its brother M 4.5 is a release with an impact that can't be overestimated. It redefined the dub house term without containing any explicit reggae elements. It is one of the coolest Basic Channel recordings ever!"

1995 release, repressed. "The production of 'M 4' yielded more worthy results than one 12" can hold, so a companion release became necessary. 'M 4.5' continues where 'M 4' had to stop. An essential release!"

Originally released in 1996, repressed. "M 6 consists of two heavy stomping dub house tracks that are dominated by a multiple modulated sequence that reaches from considerable depths to the heights of coloured noises. That all is surrounded by a warm and organic sound sphere of the usual characteristics. A deep groove experience is guaranteed."

2014 repress; released in 1997. "The Maurizio story continues with two more techno dub tracks of astonishing width, depth and presence of every single sound element. Some chords appear after a break in the middle and gives the ongoing groove even more drive."

2016 repress. "Ploy" is originally from 1992! "Ploy is the initiating release by Basic Channel even before they had found their name under which they would create a complete outstanding release sequence. The vibe here is very infected by the early '90s Detroit techno movement. The B-side features an extended playing atmospheric remix by Detroit's major force Underground Resistance (2005 re-mastered re-issue!)."

M 003EP

1992 release, repressed and available again; a classic reworking of Die Dominas (German new wave band from '81 -- w/ Manuel Göttsching and Krafttwerk connections). "Maurizio and Carl Craig joining forces to rework a forgotten(?) early '80s avant garde pop tune. Thank god the reworks don't contain any considerable '80s music elements. Maurizio's version is a chord-driven heavy stomping club monster in two parts, while Craig's version is a relaxed and spaced out house groover."
