"Mysterymen were born in 2001 out of the industrial North East of England, and set up their studio on the banks of the river Tyne. Soon being hailed as the new techno-operafuturists, they are well versed in producing accomplished and soulful electro. Mysterymen have transcended from a twisted personal setting. Comprising the industrial landscape but giving way to the romance lying there in-between, it leaves pretty much of the debut out of the field of comparable producers. To no surprise the tracks inhale the congeniality of analogue synthesizers, drum machines and vocoders, all synchronised by a trusty Atari computer."

"Mysterymen's analogue-slo-mo-shoegazing-techno debut 12" for Disko B Wide Apart already found it's way in the playlists of the likes of Herbert or John Peel. With their follow up Electromode they deliver two dramatic masterpieces of electro-drone that will result in massive dancefloor hysteria this summer. Two tracks that are so fucking strong that Disko B just couldn't fit more on this 12"."

"Mysterymen is a new signing on Disko B. The Debutants steam from Newcastle, UK. The two youngsters arranged a compact diversity of Gary-Numan-touched slo-mo techno with a touch of Neo-90ies & Drone Pop. The 4-track 12" blooms around almost whistling bass-lines, whispering snares and is reminding of what once was called Shoegazing (why did no one realize in Techno before?) in stimulating new settings. If Drone and Techno didn`t coincident in electronic music ago it will do now. `Clapman` is pure teenage lust and best described as early Seefeel coming on land and wondering why they can breathe! Jump!"
