"Parks, a former Christian Wolff student, and Rossetto, best known for her three stellar solo LPs on Kye, met for the first time to record this in July 2014. It's the fourth in the ErstAEU series, featuring adventurous young American artists working in the experimental vein. 'Severe Liberties is a title reflective of the process which formed it. The recording was entered into blindly with no preconceived plan or even knowledge of exactly what tools the other person would be employing.
