GREENER 007EP
|
In 2013, Andres Zacco's imprint Greener presented three terrific records by J.C., Psynote (aka Franco Cinelli) and Zacco himself. The label then made a pause, until now. Greener Records returns with a new string of records, starting with a fully-blown EP from Argentinean national and Berlin-based Nico Purman. Exploring dimensions in sound familiar to the forms of deep-techno and dub nuances developed on Greener.

State-of-the-art techno from Nico Purman. The Argentinean's vision of contemporary club music has always been located somewhere between techno and electro. His Pattern Recognition EP turns out to be Nico's most uncompromising work since his early releases on Vakant and scores with three bold and infectious tracks for the club.

AOM 002-2EP
|
Berlin-based Argentine producer Nico Purman presents the second EP in a two-part release on his Art Of Memory label. Bass moves the soul while synth and space free the mind. The late 1960s and early 1970s gave us five years of moon missions, the first view of our lonely blue dot, the inspiration of math and science, and new wave science fiction. Purman draws upon this vaulted era to create AOM002. To label AOM002 techno would be tantamount to calling Kubrick's 2001 merely a film or the Saturn V merely a rocket.

AOM 001EP
|
Lying somewhere between New Order, Arthur Baker, and Giorgio Moroder with the benefit of modern ears, Nico Purman continues to shape his ever-evolving vision of sound with his new label Art of Memory and its debut release. Nico drops perhaps his most expansive and melodic work yet, drawing on influences from decades past to produce something both new and honest to former eras. With nods to new wave, techno, and a dusting of Space Odyssey, this 12" express pensive, moving, deep ideas of an electronic yesterday.

VA 047EP

Nico Purman returns to Vakant with his most technoid record since his 2009 Euphrasia EP. "The Bubble" reveals the direction Nico is taking with this EP -- contemporary techno with a classic touch and the distinctive twist that is characteristically Purman's. "Blow My Mind" slackens the pace a little bit and makes room for more trippy yet groovy moments on the floor later in the morning. Mind-bending.

VA 036EP

Nico Purman once again honors the House of Vakant with his latest disco-inspired offering to the Gods. With the Visions EP, Nico effortlessly transgresses whatever style he wishes and makes it his own. Taking a few pages from the book of disco as well as a touch of Chicago and a pinch of early New York house, Nico both tips his hat to those influences as well as takes things several steps further to create something completely original.

Nico Purman drops 3 large-and-in-charge space-jazz masterpieces that he fermented in what sounds like a mid-'90s New York house basement. "Why What" slowly moves uptown landing at the Blue Note where Rollins, Monk, and Roach sit in on the session. "Funk Forest" features popping percussion blended with Rhodes while a diva whispers in your ear until late-'70s Herbie Hancock shows up with his synth. "Chamomile" is moody, peaking with futuro baritone sax and piano in unison. Smooth and steady.

CURLE 017EP
|
Argentina's Nico Purman presents his third Curle release, furthering his unique, dark and deep, yet funky sound. With previous releases on Modelisme, Crosstown Rebels, Mule Electronic, and Vakant, he's definitely the right man to bring us those first Spring Vibrationz.

VA 025EP
|
Argentinian Nico Purman presents his second EP on Vakant. "Euphrasia" is your very own space mission trip minus the rocket. Nico's got the ascension covered here, complete with drama and aerospace wizardry. "My Own Band" is like a bunch of inebriated astronauts complete with hydroponics and atomizers. Space is indeed fun and full of love and melody. "Da Roots" proves that there are Africans in space, and they have probably spent a considerable amount of time in Chicago.

"Fresh talent has joined the Vakant Berlin Boys Tec Team (VBBTT). Argentinian Nico Purman, drummer and no stranger to the world's dark throbbing dancefloor scene, brings us a release nothing short of spontaneous combustion. Just in time for the cold, dark indoor season, Tuesday is here to happily assist in your winter downward spiral."

MULE 039EP
|
Argentina's Nico Purman has released on Crosstown, Karmarouge and Modelisme. For Mule Electronic, he presents two original organic minimal sounds (with a little bit of Latin flavor). Einzelkind's remix of the title track is more floor-oriented. His DJ style is deep with a strong elektro influence, ambient textures and melancholic melodies.

MODEL 013EP
|
"Modelisme is very proud to announce the second release on the label of the Argentinian artist Nico Purman. After a lot of good feedback on Ciudad de Nubes, Nico is back with a new EP called Love From Another Dimension. This title which is on the A-side brings you away to an ecstatic trip mixing melodies, groove on a spiritual floating atmosphere. That goes very deep, that goes very far! 'Agencias' on the B-side, is more orientated to minimal dubby house and confirm the Modelisme attraction to this music. Thru varied moods and styles, Modelisme continues to show more and more its musical philosophy. To be continued."

MODEL 011EP
|
"After his release on labels like Karmarouge or Synerfy Network, Nico Purman, who's living in Argentina, proposes two long and very nice tracks of deep minimal techno. On the A side, 'Ciudad de Nubes' will surely seduce those who habitually like to listen to progressive, groovy but melodic and ecstatic atmospheres. A simple and punchy rhythmic, unleashed to an efficient sub bassline, accorded with really beautiful organic sonorities. On the B side, Nico shows another part of his music with 'Boske Encantado,' a dub/tech house track based on a funky and energetic groove. Nico smartly brings his own melodic touch by the addition of a lot of melancholic arpeggios, bathed in both delays and deep reverbs. A must for afterhours."
