Cologne-based DJ/producer Shumi releases his debut 12" for long-time buddies, Kompakt. Jump For Joy is a classic Kompakt release in many ways -- it's a very versatile 3-tracker covering some of the most recognizable Kompakt styles. Raw, hypnotic minimal techno, dreamy, romantic tech-house, and a euphoric, pop-tinged "end of the night" track. Shumi's a real all-rounder and genre limits are not his thing.
