The title of this album is derived from 'Kalyan' meaning a blessing and as this recording represents a beautiful arrangement of musical notes, 'Swar'. The recordings are a manifestation of the blessing bestowed upon Rajeevji by his Guru, late Ustad Ali Akbar Khan. Rajeev Taranath is a leading exponent of the Sarod, having studied under the illustrious Ali Akbar Khan at the age of 21 and also Annapurna Devi as well as Ravi Shankar."
