NYC's Adam X regains his 'floor traction as Traversable Wormhole with Sublight Velocities. His first Traversable Wormhole production since 2012, it's far more amped than his sewer-dwelling ADMX-71 album, Coherent Abstractions (LIES 067CD/LP, 2015). "Sublight Velocities" aims for the jugular up top, squaring off a bruising tattoo of militant kicks packing elephantine recoil while plasmic black drones stoically deplete the spirit. The coldly hypnotic "Semiclassical Gravity" rolls off the bone accentuating the groove's elliptical, rolling chassis with acidic sub-bass rubs and stepping hi-hat patterns seemingly dispersing the other side's lactic build up.

Traversable Wormhole returns to CLR after a huge success in the techno scene with the digital releases and remixes of volumes 1-5. The present offering on CLR contains all songs from volumes 6-10, originally released on 12" vinyl only. The first anonymously-produced ink-stamped vinyls under the mysterious guise Traversable Wormhole appeared on the global techno scene in the spring of 2009. At this time nobody knew who was behind the project and the mystique continued to grow with each new record until volume 6, when Adam X finally revealed himself as the creator of the much-hailed productions in a Resident Advisor interview in 2010. One crucial anecdote which eventually led to the digital releases and the massive remix project on CLR took place at the Berghain club in Berlin, where Adam met Chris Liebing and asked him about some highly positive remarks he had made about the mysterious act on Twitter. Chris immediately guessed that Adam was the originator of those tracks and insisted until he actually had to admit it -- making Chris one of the very first persons to know the key to the mystery. It's quite significant that this conversation took place at the Berghain, as it was the club and its infamous residents that originally inspired Adam X to write this music. The story of Traversable Wormhole is the remarkable story of a well-known artist who successfully bypassed all possible preconceptions by just bringing out the music he wanted to hear in his favorite club under a new and unknown moniker. The concept worked smoothly, as he had the complete scene stunned and wondering about the origin of this exciting sound from day one. He had instantly convinced everybody with innovation and quality, even those who might not have given him as the artist Adam X a proper chance at this very moment. Needless to say, that the quality of the tracks continued to be consistently excellent and the genre-crossing mix of straight-up, post-modern techno and industrial music beyond trends and hypes works just as well in the present volumes 6-10 as it did in the volumes 1-5. Stripped-down, sci-fi laden productions with unconventional beat structures, bass, rhythm and noise -- a formula that has in one way or the other always been the essence of Adam X's artistic output.

Continuing on his intergalactic journey, Traversable Wormhole now enters into the portal entitled Vol. 9. "World Line" is a hypnotic, dark, tonal 4/4 deep bass-driven affair that intensifies in relative velocity as it travels through four dimensional space-time. "Present Hypersurface" is a punchy, percussive, broken-beat affair, with layered, special, droning string tones and melodious, thick analgous white noise. On dark green/blue-colored vinyl.

In 2009, a series of five anonymously-produced ink-stamped vinyl recorded releases appeared in the global techno scene under the mysterious guise Traversable Wormhole. The series was released exclusively on vinyl. The sound of Traversable Wormhole is a unique signature of sci-fi laden techno music with gaps of time, space & bass in between sound & rhythm. Within a month's time of its conception, volume 2 of the series appeared and a huge buzz was soon amassed on the project. Accusations of who the artist behind the project was ran wild. People all over the techno scene had made theories about who was behind it. The project quickly received huge support from many of the world's most renowned techno shops such as Rub A Dub, Hardwax, and Juno & Decks. Word traveled fast through the wormhole and it was soon reported that globally respected DJs such as Chris Liebing, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Mathew Herbert, Ryan Elliot, André Galluzzi, Surgeon, Function, Frankie Bones, DJ Deep & Radioslave, etc. were all supporting the sound of TW. With the series fast approaching into further galaxies with the appearance of volume 3, techno cult blogsite MNMLSSG tracked down TW via Twitter. A sonar ping was sent back to the popular blog and soon a Traversable Wormhole mix appeared anonymously on the site, receiving rave reviews. As the series continued with volume 5 by the end of year 2009, the mystique of anonymity continued to grow. To usher in the very start of 2010, Traversable Wormhole would release the 6th volume of the series. At the same time, 20 year veteran techno artist/DJ Adam X, originally from NYC and now residing in Berlin, would be invited to partake in a feature called "Playing Favorites" on Resident Advisor, on which he would subtly take claim as the producer behind Traversable Wormhole. While traversing the wormhole, Adam has crossed paths with Chris Liebing and his CLR imprint. Traversable Wormhole Vol. 01-05 now appears in digital format for the first time ever with all five volumes being digitally remastered in the highest of quality. Traversable Wormhole Vol. 01-05 is a full-length mix of all 10 songs, mixed by Adam X himself.
