Antivj present their first release, a collection of Thomas Vaquie's work titled Ecume. Antivj recordings are about releasing music that has a strong cinematic dimension. It is about giving a new life to musical pieces that were originally created for physical experiences. Sonic narratives that were originally part of a visual work. The first release is a collection of pieces of music by Antivj's main composer Thomas Vaquié. Over the last few years he has created site-specific pieces for places such as the Centre Pompidou Metz , the Old Port of Montreal's metallic conveyor tower, in Song-do (South Korea's futurist city project) and Oaxaca's ethnobotanical gardens. Thomas also creates very modern compositions for immersive audiovisual installations, (3Destruct, Onion Skin, Light Sculptures, Cityscape 2095). With a strong sense of composition and narrative, sound designer skills and a capacity to project an image sonically, Thomas produces striking, emotional and physical pieces.
