Leon Ware is a soul music singer, songwriter, and producer, best-known for crafting the album I Want You, which was taken up by Marvin Gaye in 1976. He also penned the Top 5 R&B single, "I Wanna Be Where You Are" for a young Michael Jackson in 1972. Ware's music is continually sampled and has influenced many contemporary music icons including Ice Cube, A Tribe Called Quest, Tupac, etc.
