Tom Scott & The LA Express live at Paul's Mall, Boston on May 5th 1975. By 1975 the saxophonist Tom Scott was already a veteran composer, bandleader and session musician, having collaborated with Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Barbra Streisand and many others. He formed L.A. Express in 1973, and together they swiftly established a reputation as a leading exponent of jazz-fusion. Originally broadcast on WBCN-FM 104.1 Live, this superb set finds Scott on fiery form, backed by Robben Ford (guitar), Larry Nash (piano), Max Bennett (bass) and John Guerin (drums). It's presented here together with background notes and images.
