"Franklin were one of the first underground bands from Spain, formed in the late '60s by some of the best musicians based in Madrid at the time. Fuelled by the killer guitars of Pablo Weeber and Antonio Gª De Diego, they only recorded two sought after & excellent hard-psych 45s (the first one, containing their psyched to the max cover of the Stones 'Satisfaction' was recently included on the Andergraun Vibrations comp). In 1974, the band recorded a whole album which was never released until now. Their new line-up for those sessions featured two drummers and a new keyboard player. Life Circle is a conceptual album which sounds more prog-rock than their previous 45s, in fact we must say this is a must for anyone into Spanish progressive sounds. Nine tracks full of hard guitar, mini-Moog, Mellotron, analog keyboards, some spacey and experimental-symphonic passages, English vocals. Titles like 'Renaissance,' 'Intro for Cosmic Body,' 'Takeoff.' Double vinyl set, 500 copies limited, featuring the whole Franklin output: their two 45s, the unreleased Life Circle album remastered from the master tapes and a couple of rare live tracks. Includes insert with liner notes and photos.'
