"Those Midnight boys are back in force, still riding high after their triumph with Lorenzo Coe's 'Bale' -- this time with recent Future Days star DNCN towing the carnival wagon. 'GAF' throws some healthy wild pitch rave stabs over a beefed puttering rhythm, before some chords wade in and sluice everyone's dancing shoes with some good old filth. The arc of attention moves from the purely temporal into more lofty territories -- simply put, this is good vibes techno, nice and jagged, but still providing that all-important upwards momentum. 'Kontrakt' proscribes a more electrofying assault, swinging and rolling synth lines chop it up in proper style over an a temporal groover. The remix coda is ably provided by Denis Karamani, close friend to DNCN and still hot off the back of his latest killer for Lawrence's fledgling Smallville imprint out of Hamburg. Take it from me, Remute picks up the rave stabs and looks to obliterate them, assaulting them first with pure mentalism, then simply unwrapping the tempo into a no-holds-barred melée. Massive crowd stoking materials -- the business!"
