"Erik M. is a young French musician from Marseille. After some demo tapes, this is his first record, but he had already played with many artists (Günter Muller, Christian Marclay, Jim O'Rourke, Tom Cora, Otomo Yoshihide). He works mainly with turntables but for this release there are also samples and tapes. Although he works with many vinyl records, his work isn't plunderphonic. He only uses these musical sources for his own compositions. The sources are: contemporary music, French poetry, movie music, rock music (some are really easy to recognize). The spirit can be compared to some LAFMS releases. At this time where technology often takes over from inspiration and creation, this record comes at the right moment."
