"At Wolfskuil HQ we have received so many fantastic demos from fresh and upcoming producers with a small and sometimes even no discography, that we have decided to start a sublabel dedicated to new talent. The single 'Sleepless' from Amsterdam based DJ/producer Jarno is the first one in the Wolfskuil Ltd series. Being a DJ for more than 12 years, Jarno is a well known face in Dutch clubs and festivals. He found a new musical love in producing early 2007. The first track he ever made was picked up from his Myspace web site by the Rush Hour crew. This resulted in his debut release Memories on the legendary Dutch imprint and got great response from well known international figures like Josh Wink, Onsulade and Laurent Garnier. Nowadays Jarno is working hard to get his production skills to a higher level and making new tracks and remixes. Wolfskuil Records is proud to be one of the platforms on which this exceptionally talented artist is going to show the world his skills. The 2 tracks on this EP are good examples of what Jarno is capable of. Stripped down funk, subtile arrangements with great tension & dynamics and a remarkable warm sound, which nestles itself perfectly on the crossing borders of house and techno. And let's not forget the incredible catchy hooks which he's making sound deceptively easy, but is in fact a talent not a lot of musicians have. The paradox of 'less is more' in full effect."
