"Born in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, Jesse belongs geographically to the fine small group of Canadian people (Deadbeat/Akufen etc) around exploring electronic dance. But he is different. Traum is happy to present his second Canadian shooting star since Akufen and a big talent, Jesse Somfay. Jesse Somfay has started to produce electronic dance since 2000 and has had a chance to develop his DJ skills since then. Creating a moving , emotional experience by creating epic, layered tracks full of well crafted rhythm and finely knit melodies, distinguishes him from many of todays artists and builds an international emotional alliance with people such as Nathan Fake and Holden from Border Community. Jesse currently hosts an online radio show at livesets.com where he plays two hour sets of finely fitted minimal and deep Tech house.
