"Sometime in late 1990's four Russians met in NYC and began to jam together. They wanted to reach to the Higher Spirit, so they called their band 'Jesus With Me.' Jesus With Me played heavy psychedelic freakout rock, influenced by Amon Duul I, Faust, Can, High Rise, Keiji Haino and YaHoWha 13. Meanwhile, to support their habits, they began to release music on the Psycho-Path Records label. Jesus With Me used to jam every Friday, all night long, at Backstage rehearsal studios, in West Patterson NJ, where Edward worked. Ed was the only one with previous musical experience, having played in various heavy metal and wedding bands way back home. Igor was the most decadent, and being into free jazz and the sixth string, he chose bass. Dmitry was mad genius who listened to Ramones and slammed on drums like a maniac. Simon played an endless guitar solo. Jesus With Me played shows locally for about a year, opening for Sightings, No Neck Blues Band, Endless Boogie, and Acid Mothers Temple. And then one day we stopped playing. But before that Ed managed to record some of the music on tape. And some of it is here on this record. Like Zappi said:
'It is all one long love song.'
Amen."
