"Following the winner that was Bodymovin's 'Good Time', the new secretive We Love This label fires up their second release WLT 02 come courtesy of Denmark's Kasper Bjørke & His Friendly Ghost. Having already proven his psychedelic-meets-modern- disco production skills with remixes for the likes of Trentemøller and many more, and of course having already released various highly respected solo productions including the album In Gumbo, Kasper recruits 'His Friendly Ghost' for some more jovial studio hauntings. Lead track 'Great Derangement' stomps over everything in its path with its slow-spun ever-building acid-trip stylings. Floating somewhere between spooky minimal house and outer-rings space disco, the track evolves with bouncing percussion at its base, and heavy bass energy beneath that a microcosm of the hybridised, rich musical landscape we find ourselves within nowadays. 'Derangement' continues to surprise all the way till its conclusion, throwing in kooky vocal meanderings and soaring synth warbles to mesmerising effect. Polish strongholds Catz'N'Dogz, aka 3 Channels, provide a more functional remix for the heavier dancefloors, transforming the unique vocal and percussive elements of Kasper's original into a morphing, twisting club tool."
