Moving through contrasting musical landscapes, its thirteen songs all bear Alberto "Mandrake" Wolf's unmistakable songwriting signature. Human, existential, and sharply observant, they delve into stories that are both monumental and deeply intimate. For the first time in the band's history, a guest musician joins the journey: the legendary Walter "Nego" Haedo. His contribution not only brings an effortless swing to the Druidas sound but also becomes a driving force behind the band's musical exploration, where rock 'n' roll meets African-rooted rhythms in an irresistible blend. Conceived as an album to be experienced from beginning to end, Un Plan Perfecto brings together and consolidates the decade-long journey of a band that continues to expand its musical universe. Born in Montevideo in 1962, Alberto "Mandrake" Wolf has been one of the defining figures of Uruguayan popular music since the early 1980s. After three decades leading his former band, Los Terapeutas, he returned to the local music scene in 2017 with Mandrake y los Druidas, a supergroup formed alongside a younger generation of musicians and built around a powerful, high-energy take on classic rock 'n' roll. Their self-titled debut album, Mandrake y los Druidas (2017), was warmly received by critics and audiences alike, earning three major Graffiti Awards in 2018: Best Band, Best Album, and Best Rock & Blues Album. In 2020, they released Sortilegio, further developing the band's sound while broadening its musical horizons. Three years later came La Suite de Raymundo, an immersive and uncompromising work built around a 16-minute-and-30-second musical suite, earning two Graffiti Awards in 2024 for Best Songwriter and Best Artwork.
