2017 release. Portuguese producer and Discotexas founder Moullinex is back with his finest album to date, Hypersex. A collective love letter to club culture and its celebration of difference, freedom and love, for his third album, Moullinex reached out to several guest singers, including Fritz Helder, Georgia Anne Muldrow (Flying Lotus, Mos Def), Iwona Skwarek (Rebeka), Best Youth, Marta Ren, Da Chick, UhAhUh, and Tee Flowers, crafting a uniquely fresh sound that combines many of his musical influences. Hypersex can thus be seen as linking the funk, groove and sunshine of his debut Flora (2012) to the psychedelia and tropicalia of Elsewhere (DT 050CD/LP, 2015). Moullinex is the alter ego of the Portuguese producer and multi-instrumentalist Luis Clara Gomes. He's established himself as one of the leading artists in the modern disco scene, with several singles such as "Take My Pain Away" and Peaches collaboration "Maniac". He has also done remixes for acts like Røyksopp, Cut Copy, Two Door Cinema Club, and RAC. The road to Hypersex has been paved by various singles and videos in 2017, expanding the spirit of collaboration to directors and visual artists, and gathered wide support from international tastemakers across the globe. Hypersex is like hypertext between humans, a system designed to multiply ideas and connections among people, and the dance floor is the perfect medium.
