1998 release. In 1966 the palaces of the Ganda, Nyoro and Ankole peoples were seized and burned, the musicians dispersed or killed and the royal instruments destroyed! Historical recordings by Hugh Tracey. Featuring the last Ganda royal harpist -- the great Temusewo Mukasa -- as well as the royal flute ensemble, drum ensemble and xylophone ensemble. From the Nyoro court the swinging royal horn ensemble, and unique royal drums. Songs from the Ankole court. Includes a 20-page booklet.
