Coloray's Real Life Cinema infuses powerful, unpolished sound aesthetics with relentless energy. After cutting his teeth on both the Dutch and international DJ circuit, and nurturing his production skills as member of the Tunnelvisions duo, Raynor de Groot his solo project Coloray translates an inwards desire to create and explore off the beaten path, and does so with a compelling '80s attitude. This strong backbone in musical undertaking, together with his background in songwriting and vocal work, transmits a unique sound that drifts somewhere between the hazy lines of contemporary electronics and early EBM.

"A work of searching, and in many moments, finding" Maggie Thornton as Sky Civilian is set to release her second EP via Atomnation: At the Seams. It's a stepping stone, from the lyrical, gentle, genre-agnostic electronica of Open Door (ATMV 065LP), to Maggie's own rounded and angelic take on acid-house. Maggie's cinematic, synth-heavy style emerged after a decade of orchestral French horn playing and classical studies. She combines this brass-inspired, synth-forward approach with her weightless, almost-whispered vocals, and dancefloor ready beats. The melding of influences present in her work make Maggie a fresh and promising new artist in the electronic music scene, an artist we hope to hear more from for many years to come.

Tunnelvisions (Raynor de Groot and Emiel van den Dungen) originated from a shared vision of contemporary club music. They believe that the club scene -- that is often focusing on a colder, abstract high-tempo sound -- needs to go back to a more organic approach. It's one of the goals of their newly created Tunnelvisions project: "We aim to bring back the fun to the dancefloor again". This vision brought the two musicians together -- through hypnotic, exotic and grooving productions they tend to offer something new. In the studio, Tunnelvisions combines elements from South American, Caribbean, and African sounds. With a background in house, techno, and pop, they've created a nine-track double-LP that takes you to different places in the world. Each track title is based on a river or desert. "Guava", for example, is a Jamaican river: "This song is a sort of naive interpretation of reggae, pop and club music". Tunnelvisions already performed at the legendary Melt Festival, Georgie's Wundergarten, and various festivals in the southern parts of The Netherlands, the place where Emiel and Raynor are currently based. Double-LP comes in gatefold sleeve.

Three new tracks by eccentric Japanese artist boys be kko. "Oreinspotting" is a floating track with a big bass line that keeps going -- well produced as always. "got type B" is a track with a big intro and "Home Run Bat", the title track, shines the way it's arranged. All around, a great EP with a 100% signature sound from Tokyo, Japan.

Polynation set to release their debut album Igneous on the Dutch imprint Atomnation. Stijn Hosman and Hessel Stuut worked on a double-LP that surpasses older work, such as Allogamy (2015) and Sufi (2016). The new double-LP, Igneous, is a perfection of their signature of acoustic drum sound, impressive synth work, and unheard-of arrangement skills/dreamy soundscapes.

Santa Fe, New Mexico based artist Maggie Thornton, aka Sky Civilian, joins Atomnation and releases Open Door. The productions from Sky Civilian evoke a lust for the future and the far-away, but she grounds this lofty mood in familiar territory, with nostalgic, detuned synth instrumentation and four-on-the-floor percussion. Her weightless, almost-whispered vocals capture a hyper-natural feeling. The overall lyrical message is one of raw sincerity, as listeners confront unmistakable themes of loss and longing. Strange yet playful vocal production techniques grant the work a subtle pop tilt.

Three massive tracks by eccentric Japanese artist Boys Be KKO with a remix from Gerd Janson. EP title track "Big Boys Don't Cry" is a well-crafted house track with many layers and produced with analog synths. Gerd Janson simplifies the original to an uplifting track that would do great on festivals. The B side shows the rhythmic track "FUMIKIRI" and indie-dance sounding "By Ada".

Part two of the Tunnelvisions remixes include four artists: Fort Romeau, David Mayer, Yor Kultura, and Bawrut. Fort Romeau's remix is a typical track you will hear back in clubs such as Robert Johnson, Bawrut's remix is a big-room beast and David Mayer shows his typical tribal sound. Yor Kultura finishes this remix EP and Tunnelvisions' The Celestial Ritual project (ATMV 060LP, 2018) with a downtempo version of "Umai's Dance".

One of the most beautiful albums of the 2010s gets a reissue on double-vinyl -- in 2014 the Swedish duo Gidge released their debut: Autumn Bells.
"The very beginning of 'I Fell In Love' are the most passionate and emotional couple of notes I have heard."
"An incredibly organic listen from start to finish, Autumn Bells is the season's distilled feeling put in song. Gidge successfully captures microscopic moments of decay and beauty within the framework of pop and ambient-inflected techno."
"An utterly captivating piece of work. Each new listen only enriches the songs."
"One of the finest, most enjoyable electronic albums I have heard in recent times. Every sound is so well thought out and sculpted, some seriously head-tingling music."

Gitanes is Olde Gods' longest output to date. Gitanes brings echoes from Spain's not-long gone golden club era. All four tracks are trippy yet solid-grounded, spacey voices and strings leads all flying up and magically suspended over gross rhythmical foundations. "Dear CZ" is built around a moody Casio CZ synth stab topped up with acid videogame-like craziness. "Gitanes" brings entrancing vocals intertwined with more CZ pad action. "All Around" is a foggy and paranoid late-night drive, and "None Of These Bitches" is a homesick folks' walk around Tokyo's Daikanyama area. Olde Gods are JMII and Guillamino.

Gidge is the production duo of Jonatan Nilsson and Ludvig Stolterman. Based in the northern parts of Sweden, their main source of inspiration is the vast, snow-covered woodlands of the North. Gidge have, for instance, recorded all of their percussion in the forest, using only the sticks and rocks that can be found there. For Seoul came about after the duo went on a trip through Asia, and spent a number of days in the South Korean capital. Applescal provides a remix on the B side.

Deltawerk is the Amsterdam based project of Pascal Terstappen, aka Applescal, and Polynation member Hessel Stuut. Together they present their debut full-length album Passages through Atomnation. Applescal has, to date, released on labels including Ghostly International and Traum Schallplatten, while the efforts for his own label Atomnation have seen him welcome music from the likes of Gidge, Weval, David Douglas, and Sau Poler, amongst others. Voted at a very respectable third place for XLR8R's coveted "Best New Act" in 2015, Hessel Stuut is a member of Polynation and has significant experience not only playing live music, but as a producer, visual artist, and designer too. Together, they form Deltawerk, a dynamically electronic duo whom, when united, create human and lucid music, which feels as much at home in an underground rave as it does in an open-air live performance. While there is a faint echo of artistic collision, the album undoubtedly provides an eerie sense of unity for both Pascal and Hessel's own discographies, conserving the warm subculture of analog and modular instrumentation. Features remixes by Marvin & Guy and Audiojack. Comes in deluxe outer-sleeve with four printed inner-sleeves; Edition of 150.

Portable Sunsets is one of the monikers of Peter Segerstrom, a producer based in Brooklyn, US. He previously released his full-length album Bless on Atomnation (2015), an LP as Surfing on 1080p (2015), and another Portable Sunsets album on the Magical Properties label (2012). Order is the follow-up to these records and it is a dreamy, somewhat lo-fi experimental techno LP. Combined with an ancient ambient undertone, Order does not lose its club ready vibe -- This record floats somewhere between laid-back warehouse techno and electronica. Very much representing a unique style, Peter often uses his own voice in his productions, programmed through self-created synths in Max/MSP. Vocals have become textures and are used as a synth, pad, or soundscape. The combination of genres makes Order a perfect record to dream away to at home, as well as to dance to in clubs. Comes in a gatefold sleeve.
