"After the huge success of their first single from Hatikvah on Baalsaal by the name of Modern Times, Hatikvah is back with the title track of their upcoming album Synchronicity. On A1 we find the original version of 'Synchronicity'. The deepness from second 1 struck us right away on this one. While the twittering of the birds accompany the groove, Florian suddenly drops the first line and you can feel it -- this is gonna be special indeed. The perfect song to get a sneak peak of the upcoming album due beginning next year. 'Zen' on A2 shows the playful side of Florian and Helmut when it comes to beats and detailed programming. Keeping the deepness at all times, carefully placed percussions build a hell of a groover. 'Zen' will find its place in many DJ sets warming up, or calming the floor for a beautiful breakdown. Let the sun rise.. B1 brings a remix by the label owners 'Chopstick & Johnjon'. Starting up with a groove that reminds me of early hours at berghain, this one will go all the way. Every sound slowly changes forms and shapes to Florian's first few vocal lines till we are on repeat with the amazing quote 'be part of the solution'. A break, a breakdown and off you go.... On B2 we have a summer groover from New York's Brendon Moeller. A light house beat brings a smile to your face and you feel this breeze that everyone was hoping for. A high stringpad plays around the vocals and takes it away for a beautiful warm night on the beach. Hypnotic indeed."

"Right at the point where everyone stopped believing that the label owners themselves would do a release on Baalsaal, it comes flying right around the corner! Finally, at catalogue number 009 Chopstick & Johnjon decided to put their best horse into the race and team up with no other than Fritz Kalkbrenner -- the voice behind the early summer anthem 'Sky and Sand' with his brother Paul Kalkbrenner. The beat of the original mix bounces from the first minute on, supporting the chords and the bassline while they work their changes. At the point when Fritz starts the first verse you get this feeling that 'this is gonna be special' and indeed it will be. The catchy chorus and the beauty of everything surrounding it makes you wanna sing along, dance and dream away the night and we didn't get to the break and the strings yet -- yes, there will be strings. So get ready and breathe in 11 minutes of deep feelings and emotions! On B1 is a remix by Marek Hemmann, who had great impact with his productions and remixes on labels such as Freude am Tanzen, Raum Musik and Resopal. You can see how much fun he had working with these vocals! By chopping them up and rebuilding everything with plain piano chords and a rather unique melody line, he converts the emotional original to a dancefloor killer! Till von Sein was our first choice when we thought about a fluffy summer-remix and, as you can hear on B2, he delivered. Spacey vocals, beautiful sounds and the music takes this release into a totally different vibe and direction: Smiling faces on a Sunday afternoon dancing in the sun at an afterhour location or on your own balcony. The baal009a has it all -- the 11 minutes journey with the full vocals on it, the bouncy maintime killer and the summer tune."

"Baalsaal welcomes Tigerskin's new EP Deep Contemplation. Despite the fact that Tigerskin aka Dub Taylor aka Korsakow has probably produced more than a few hundred successful tracks in the past and is the musical ear and hand behind well-known artists such as Phonique, he delivers his absolute best work for us, Baalsaal, the new sophisticated label, the public transport of emotions. On side A, you'll find a deep house groove by the name of 'Deep Contemplation.' Wide pads, stacky chords, deep vibes and soulful rhythms accompany this beautiful club track. What makes the difference, though, to all other house tracks at the moment who also use chords and deep vibes, is the incredible use of the main melody. Guaranteed to be a big winner on the fucking floor. On the flip side, Alex puts in the reverse gear and drops this melancholic and intensively emotional track. Starting with a beautiful pad, it emerges into a Detroit-ish bomb -- keeping the positive vibe alive at all times with its piano hits. Just close your eyes and let it take you wherever you wanna go! This release shows how diverse Tigerskin is."

"On its fifth release, Baalsaal again does not deliver any material for the draw. Funky spiritual participation to the industrial raw. The beaver is Michigan's landmark. No more word. A1 and A2: 'Raudio' is a tricky housy primetime topic that picks up the pieces up to date whereas 'Beaver's Rose' invites you to a dreamfunkin' journey from 'warm up' to doing 'the hustler'. 'Beaver's Rose' delivers simple beauty! On the flip, Preocoop with 'Corazone' shows his dark side and brings back the memory to the good old warehouse collages, where ruff neck techno meets deep-fried house, tickling you with a monster shape of melody. Already supported by Sasse, Martin Eyerer, Will Saul and many more."
