Bocksrucker, spearheading the label's fling with slower, and off-kilter sounds, showcases a warped sense of straightness and furtive percussion on "Card XIII". The B side however, starts with the docile track "Peace Of Mind", clocking the dancefloor to sudden bursts of rim-shots, yet leaving space for subtle droning harmonics. Odd stepper, "Assisted Suicide" concludes the EP, offering an electro touch on a Roland flavored drum workout.

Side A kicks off with ambient track "Sunshine And Roses" and descents into up tempo tracks "Brace Of Shakes", playfully contrasting dried-out kick drums and hypnotic vocal sampling encased by a daunting bassline. With the more toolish "Affection", Sedvs lays out the blueprint of his nineties-referencing take on techno. Herla is the collaborative effort of two Austrian producers who've tipped their focus of sound towards analog warmth, rugged drums and earthy soundscapes achieved through an amalgamation of analog hardware. Bare Hands, the newly-formed label of the duo, is dedicated to delivering rough British-influenced techno and other related material. After their debut release Shadows of a Conclusion, Herla themselves are contributing the label's first EP release, which contains three rugged and driving tracks for connoisseurs of a harder, more distorted sound.
