DLR 004EP
|
First discovered by Mary Anne Hobbs in 2013, London-based Iydes has silently been working on his debut EP until the timing was perfect. His Phase EP draws its textural DNA from contemporary UK electronica and a broad spectrum of modern club music. The four tangled and immersive work-outs on his Phase EP push an infrastructure of crumbling, grime-infused drum patterns on a techno trajectory, while slabs of deteriorated synth and sampled vocals coalesce amongst tremors of subterranean bass. This vinyl edition is cut and mastered by Sam John (Mount Kimbie, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Little Dragon, Aphex Twin) and wrapped in a full-color 12" cover.

Brussels-based producer outfit and mystery crew Run Tell Secrecy aka Vuurwerk team up with the Dandelion Lotus label for the official release of their debut LP Me+One. Fueled by a delicately rare DIY IDM esthetic, Me+One holds the distilled drops from the Vuurwerk EPs made somewhere in the darkest times between September 2011 and January 2013. Creating a dissonance between dance music and intimacy, Vuurwerk aims to drench the club experience in a comfortable haze. The limited hand-numbered black vinyl edition is cut and mastered by Sam John (Mount Kimbie, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Little Dragon, Aphex Twin) and wrapped in a beautiful 12" cover.

Dropping his debut EP, West-London producer and multi-instrumentalist J. Holmes aka Danglo, is proving to be a refreshing addition to the ever-adapting post-future-UK-bass-garage-footwork scenery. Collaborating with him on "Adapt," Danglo swiftly works his beats and tunes around some smooth-voiced vocalists, including: Ivan Franco, Marcia Bellamy and Abi Wade. Limited hand-numbered white vinyl edition is cut and mastered by Sam John (Mount Kimbie, Aphex Twin) and wrapped in a full-color 12" cover. Free digital download code (FLAC, WAV and MP3) included.

DLR 001EP
|
Dandelion Lotus Records, a new Brussels-based label, kick-starts Dalai Lama Renaissance (DLR) with a contemporary, introductory EP, containing three of their own songs and a wealth of slick remixes by some fellow artists Zack Christ, Sun Glitters, Stephen Farris, Coco Bryce, Kara Cey & Drifter. Recorded over three years (2009-2011), their songs represent each one of these years and hence, the early progression of the band. They are only the beginning of DLR's forthcoming sounds.
