Definitive Recordings presents the reissue of deep house classic Liferaft by Juicy Fruit (aka Meredith Ledger), fully remastered and set to breathe new life into one of the '90s most iconic releases. Originally dropped in 1993, this EP features the original as well as remixes by John Acquaviva and The Stickmen. The standout title track, "Liferaft," is a rich and soulful deep house gem, built around a captivating piano house theme that harks back to the golden era of house music. The track's groove is driven by a classic house beat and a funky, rhythmic guitar lick that perfectly complements its melodic core. The fresh remaster brings new clarity to its timeless warmth, elevating it for modern sound systems while keeping the vintage charm intact. House music legend John Acquaviva takes the funky guitar lick and pushes it further into the groove, layering it with a robust and simplistic bassline. His remix evolves into a deep yet vibrant soundscape, showcasing Acquaviva's signature house influence. The "The Stickmen Dub" intensifies the original's foundation by supplementing it with a hypnotic organ sound. This remix enriches the track with subtle but powerful layers, creating a mood that's both dancefloor-ready and deeply immersive. Definitive Recordings is excited to share this release with long-time fans and newcomers alike. Whether you're a die-hard house aficionado or just discovering the classics, the Liferaft EP is a must-have addition to any collection.

From House To Disco is a hotly tipped all-female duo known for their fine taste in records, in-depth research into house history and fresh productions. They have been tipped as ones to watch by Brazilian tastemaker Renato Cohen and have released on his Massa Records as well as Get Physical's COCADA Music. Now they tap into the esteemed Definitive Recordings catalogue and add their own spin to four tracks which make up this EP, which will also be included on the 12-track Disco House For All compilation which includes more key selections from the label. First up, they tackle Blunted Dummies's "House For All" and flip it into a thumping house cut with old-school synth stabs and a low-slung bassline. Their remix of Las America's "Look, Listen, Love" brings jacked-up drums with plenty of original Chicago swagger, seductive vocals and a raw analogue bassline. The duo then bring a deep and stylish twist to Wax Fruit's "Be Yourself," which has rueful pads that encourage you to gaze off into the distance, lost in thought, while the tender piano chords bring extra soul. Last of all is their fresh remix of Barada's "Gasoline," which is a driving deep house gem with neon chord vamps and another timeless bassline.

Definitive Recordings revisits 1994 house classic "Get House" by Calisto with a new version by legend Josh Wink. The iconic house music classic "Get House" by Calisto from 1994, is now being revitalized by the legendary house music pioneer Josh Wink. Josh Wink, renowned for his pioneering contributions to the Acid House movement, infuses his signature style into "Get House," breathing new life into the timeless anthem. The remix pays homage to the roots of electronic music while propelling it into the future, creating an immersive sonic experience that captivates listeners and ignites dance floors with its infectious energy. But the journey doesn't end there. Alongside Wink's groundbreaking remix, the release includes the raw and percussive original version of "Get House," straight from the depths of 1994. With a bassline that delves deep into the soul of the dance floor and cut-up vocals interlaced with stiff snares, this track delivers an edgy groove that remains as exhilarating as ever. Remastered for contemporary audiences, the original version retains its raw intensity while boasting enhanced clarity and depth. "I used to rock the original at parties and raves all over the world in the mid-'90s, and it was one of those special records of the time that combined house, acid house, and electro-breaks. It was perfect to segue from different styles as a DJ. One of my favorites on the mighty Definitive Recordings catalog!" says Josh Wink about the original. Adding to the excitement, the release also features the acapella version of "Get House," providing DJs and producers with a versatile tool for creative remixing and reimagining. "Get House" by Calisto, including the Josh Wink remix, the original version, and the acapella, will be available on all major streaming platforms as well as on vinyl.

Canadian deep house don Nick Holder's Fruit Loops EP is next to get the remaster and reissue treatment from Definitive Recordings. This label, now overseen by Get Physical Music, first released the EP back in 1995 when Toronto-based Holder had already become one of house music's most tasteful operators. He went on to release over 125 EPs and singles under countless aliases, in various groups, and on his labels DNH Records and Treehouse Records, as well as !K7 Records and NRK. His style spans house, disco loops and minimal Chicago grooves and is always high on immersive atmosphere. Opener "Dance Dance Dance" brings together all those aspects of the Holder sound with its funky guitar riffs looping beneath raw drums and disco basslines. Classic Chic samples burst out of the mix to bring an air of celebration and party, and it makes for an irresistibly feel-good sound. "Keep on Running" is a steamy and sweaty house jam with loopy drums and bass and more smartly chosen samples, this time from Roy Ayers, that bring the funk and never let up. It has long been a go-to anthem for house DJs, and the realness and rawness of the emotions in Holder's work also shine through with the filtered synths and jazzy keys of "The Message of Love," which is complete with bumpy and irresistible drums. Last of all is the unfettered party spirit and diva vocals of the brilliantly lo-fi funk-house pumper that is "Clap Ya Hands." This EP hasn't aged one bit and remains a definitive piece of early deep house history.
