2018 repress. London artist Dean Blunt returns with Hotep. This vinyl-only release marks the second 12" on Benji B's Deviation Label. First making waves with the almost cult-level Hype Williams project, and then solo and as part of the group Babyfather, Blunt steps back into the shadowy role of producer for this Blue Iverson project.

Denver's Gila debuts on Benji B's Deviation Music with Pick Six EP. Building on the territory explored on Genkidama EP (XLT 774EP, 2016), Pick Six EP sees Gila continue to toy with hard-body US rap production techniques and sound palettes. From the sino tones of fluttery opener "Swirl Suit" to booming, 808 heaters like title-track "Pick Six", this is an EP redefines the boundaries of rap-inspired club music. Gila plays with atmosphere too, none more so on ghoulish and pensive "Psycho Dabber" or the rippling "Frost On Leaf", spotlighting a deftness in and around the rougher edges of his work.
