Herself is the moniker of multi-instrumentalist Gioele Valenti, also known as JuJu in more recent years (Fuzz Club) or as part of the psych project Lay Llama's. Herself's work was described by critics as the harmonious meeting between Sparklehorse, Gravenhurst, and Will Oldham. Valenti's songwriting takes inspiration from low-fidelity apocalyptic folk, crooning and pop; boasting a rather extensive discography. Well rooted in tradition, his music often ventures in the realms of subtle experimentation. Rigel Playground prepares the listener for a journey through cosmic folk, in which traditional Brit pop flirts with an alt vein, as if the Beatles and Sparklehorse would meet the torments of Nick Drake and the intimacy of a Mike Scott. Continuing a long list of illustrious collaborations (Amaury Cambuzat of Ulan Bator, John Fallon of The Steppes, Capra Informis of GOAT, among others), the prestigious guest on this record is Jonathan Donahue from Mercury Rev, a group of absolute prominence in the international indie panorama, which in addition to having lent his voice to the single "The Beast of Love" -- as Herself says -- informs the essence of the entire record. Not surprisingly Mercury Rev chose Herself to support them during their Italian tour in 2019.

Originally released by Crucial Blast in 2008. Desire In Uneasiness is something of an anomaly in Nadja's catalog as it features a live drummer, Jakob Thiesen, and there is no guitar on the album, with both Aiden Baker and Leah Buckareff playing bass, each trading melodic and rhythmic lines. For this first vinyl edition of the album, the tracks were re-mixed and re-mastered for the format, an extended version of "Affective Fields" was created, and Reverend Aitor (who created the original CD art) created brand new artwork for a gatefold vinyl sleeve.

Colossus was initially released as a download project that consisted of 50 tracks all of which were 50 minutes long. It was completed on March 11th, 2019, Andrew Liles's 50th birthday. "Part I" and "II" of the download versions combined are over 41 hours of "music". The "songs" are extreme, simple, complex, mellow, angular, and often surreal adaptations of every single hit from the last 50 years that was at Number One in the UK charts on Liles's birthday. This LP version is an instrumental, edited, and consolidated collection of all 50 tracks in chronological order cut into 50 second extracts. Cover photography by Davide Pepe. Purple vinyl; High gloss laminated sleeve with printed lined inner; Edition of 300.

I Feel Like A Bombed Cathedral is the ambitious new project from Amaury Cambuzat --guitarist with the legendary Faust and founder of French avant-garde experimentalists Ulan Bator. Just two pieces spread over 50-odd minutes, this CD reaches levels of drone-like intensity barely heard since the days of Theatre of Eternal Music. Beautiful collage art by Cambuzat. Packaged in a gloss laminated digipack; Edition of 500. Essential.
Nick Soulsby writes: "You need to tell the world how you feel and all you think is -- The electric guitar stands as analogue to the cathedral: a blown-out shell echoing with imposing history, lineage, collapse and eternal potential. Amaury has conjured a haunted space inviting us to roam firm structures torn to chaotic edges; glimpsed hardness grown over organic and lush. The sounds whisked up around us, from the most minimal to the most densely symphonic, remind us we stand in a place dedicated to the profound. Between the instrument and the image stands the man himself. Amaury's approach throughout I Feel Like A Bombed Cathedral speaks to his memories and lived experience -- graduation from the classical conservatory in western Paris, his discovery of the guitar at age fourteen, his lifelong quest to infuse this instrument with fresh life. I Feel Like A Bombed Cathedral is a testament to the past, to desecrated presents, and to the sacred horizon that is the future -- The unchanging future which is always hope of change."

LP version. A new project from Lu Edmonds (PiL, Mekons, The Damned, et al.) and Mark Roberts (The Godfathers, D-Ream, Neneh Cherry, et al.) -- a multilingual spoken-word album, a musical hear-play ("hörspiel") exploring the underbelly of modern life, alternative histories and the allegedly imminent take-over of the world by artificial intelligence. In a loose nod to German radio-plays of the 1920s, the album Hörspiel uses semi-random texts culled from the interweb, performed by synthetic speech-robots using questionable online machine translations (Chinese, Russian, French, English, Tuvan, Japanese, German, Hindi, Spanish, Turkish etc.) while Blabbermouth provide a soundtrack of ambient, industrial, pop, world, folk, free improv soundscape, and post-punk.

Capri-Batterie is a trio comprised of Kordian Tetkov on drums, Tim Sayer on trumpet and electronics, and Matthew Lord on bass and saxophone. With an unrestricted approach to improvisation that embraces the philosophy of "freedom", as an affront to oppression in all its modern-day manifestations. If you think you have heard improvised music, think again. Stewart Lee should need no introduction, as undoubtedly the most original stand-up comedian in more than 30 or so years. He is also a highly regarded writer and director. Stewart has been involved in numerous interesting musical projects and maintains a strong association with the avant-garde and improvised scene. It's not often that something can genuinely be described as "unique". This can be though, there is nothing like it. Anywhere. Edition of 500.

In 1982 The New Blockaders self-released their debut LP Changez Les Blockeurs, an edition of only 100. Steven Stapleton (Nurse With Wound) was the very first person to purchase/hear the album and subsequently distributed copies via United Dairies. The LP has since attained a somewhat mythical/legendary status and 2017 was the 35th anniversary of its original release. In celebration of this, The New Blockaders invited Stapleton to rework the original, which is now available in all its glory as NWW Play 'Changez Les Blockeurs'. Includes a bonus track not on the LP and new artwork by Babs Santini.

Dirter presents the first appearance on vinyl since 1990 of Whitehouse's Steve Albini-produced classic Thank Your Lucky Stars LP, this time around as a luxuriously expanded double LP set. The original LP was recorded in September 1988 at Albini's Chicago studio and then issued on Susan Lawly as a 4 track 12″ vinyl release. A special CD edition followed in 1997 on CD with extra tracks from other sessions in Chicago recorded around that time. This limited double vinyl edition features all that material in addition to the legendary original 13:36 version of "My Cock's On Fire" recorded at IPS, London in 1984. The set is limited to just 500 copies.

Sinister Whimsy For The Wretched contains the long out-of-print albums, Sugar Fish Drink (1992) and Large Ladies With Cake In The Oven (1993). Both discs are remastered by Andrew Liles. You will never hear these better. Sugar Fish Drink, "Cod Surrealism", is a distinctly wet aberration on paranoid aesthetics occasionally coordinated by John Balance and Steven Stapleton. For Large Ladies With Cake In The Oven, all tracks were previously released in some form or another. Songs titles have been altered from their original forms on their original releases. "Head Cold" is very close to being the exact song as the Miss Ticker remix of "Cold" from the Thunder Perfect Mind CD reissue and "Steel Dream March Of The Metal Man".

Hyakki Echo is a brand new release from Merzbow and it sees a totally new direction for this true innovator. Whatever you may have expected, this will surprise and thrill. With much more of a foot in free improvisation than the more traditional psyched-out, extreme "noise" that you may have come to expect, Hyakki Echo is a masterpiece in experimental music. The format should surprise and intrigue too. One side is a three-minute piece that is a vinyl record, the other a full-length CD. The package comes with the necessary adapter you need to play the vinyl side. Artwork by Masami Akita (Merzbow). The set is packaged in a die cut digipak sleeve. Note: This disc must not be used with a "slot-in" CD player.

Full title: Avant Garde Is Happening Because Collaborations Are Happening As Long As The Desire To Interact Fuels Our Hearts We Will Find Swarms That Build Moments And Space To Shelter The Worlds That We Are. Released to coincide with the re-emergence of the festival at Schiphorst, Germany to celebrate "three days of utopia". The Avantgarde Festival is the legendary gathering of experimental music and performing arts brought to life by Jean-Hervé Péron (faUSt), Carina Varain, and friends. The festival was reborn in with the help of Jeanne-Marie Varain, who grew up with the Avantgarde Festival and curated its program in 2014, and Ines and Julia (MuD, Logotorium, Krarque Jamarić) who scouted several actions at the festival in 2013 and 2014, and decided to team up and figure out a new format that supports collaboration and at the same time is able to sustain itself. The CD features exclusive material from the likes of Nurse With Wound, faUSt, Qluster, Asmus Tietchens. Also features: V!V!V!, Haricot Massacre, Giardini, Ronny Wærnes, VED, Octopus Ride, EXO//ENDO, Dieter Bornzero Bornschlegel, Psykisk Tor-Tur, Blood Oath, Friederike Jäger, and Ernsthafte Angele-Genheiten. Od Serca Do Duszy originally appeared as a double CD set, joint-released by Lumberton Trading Company and AudioTONG in 2007 (LUMB 008CD). Long out of print, this album documents a professionally recorded live show at Krakow's Loch Ness Club. As anybody who has seen Faust live, in their countless different yet always wonderful forms, can testify, they are such a musical high, all other stimulants aren't necessary. This remastered reissue once again illuminates the residual experience of a Faust concert in all its expectation-scrunching glory. Comprising the thirteen songs that constituted the original show, this set was produced by founders Jean-Herve Peron and Zappi Diermaier, plus Amaury Cambuzat. Together they dovetail perfectly with one of Peron's mantras during the occasion, "Od Serca Do Duszy". This translates from Polish to, "From heart to soul", which just about covers one of the many facets to Faust's incredible music.

Diario De Un Monstruo is an homage to the 1981 album Diary Of A Madman by Ozzy Osbourne (1981). It is another - and some might argue, inevitable - addition to the ongoing monster series of releases. To say Andrew Liles's recording is a cover version of the original Ozzy album is far too simplistic and misleading. This recording adapts motifs and hooks from the original music but is in no way similar. It is a complex tapestry that is woven from many fine threads and at times, it is a confusing and incomprehensible monstrous interpretation of the classic album. Anyone expecting a hard rock LP will be sorely disappointed. Liles has been obsessed by the original album since its release 36 years ago and he has been collecting various LP pressings and ephemera associated with Diary Of A Madman for many years. Packaged in a high gloss laminated sleeve; Includes printed lined inner. Edition of 500.

The starting point for the recordings on Flurry Of Delusion was an improvised recording session with Giuseppe Ielasi, but as with all Ralf Wehowsky works nothing is quite what it seems to be. Cutting out the moments of "glory" and recombining them, Wehowsky, aka RLW, reassembles them into new more detailed compositions. Further improvised sounds were treated and added to the mix. It is neither industrial or musique concrete, nor computer music or improvisation - in fact it could be all of these. Ralf Wehowsky is a well-respected electronic composer who was a founding member of the seminal German group P16.D4 and the label Selektion whose groundbreaking releases influenced many artists working in today's experimental music scene. Packaged in a beautiful full color digipak on reverse board. Edition of 500.
