"Ottersberg-based Esel label likes to welcome you with this fantastic new release by Frederik Schikowski. Forget about Prozac, here comes a stunning new 10" by Berlin-based Frederik Schikowski, Was Hat Das Mit Mir Zu Tun. In 1999, Frederik Schikowski brought out the fantastic Mein Kleines Pony EP. Here are some tracks he made in that period. Nine tracks that are so full of melancholic euphoria. Best remembered for that you want to play this at your funeral. You will love it. Cover comes by 'Madewithhate.' This is a 'this is it' release... oi!"

...I Will Wait There with the Lamb. "James Din A4 caught in his matrix or in 'The Wonderful World of Amelie Pop Dylan'. Jazz is not jazz and house is not house. Everything is somehow in between."

"The new album by James Din A4 with the leitmotiflike title Büro Für Berufskunde comes with several hands full of superb tracks...'Das Chinesenschwert (part 2)' starts the new album with a strange 4/4 roller and leans on to his last release. 'Klimmsauggong' feat. Mr. Pif is concerned to the advanced pedestrian. 'Been Down So Long It Looks Like Up To Me' brings you back to your earliest memories and takes you by the hand... 'Please Excuse My Face' is the album's beard of bees. 'Bruno Prostata' comes into your mind like a left donut in your plundered dilithium chamber. Hugh! Next side starts with 'Eva Auf Der Wolfsschanze'. It's like dancing with marmalade hair after you tripped on your last hooray. Believe me or not. 'Relatively Clean Asshole' has a rose in the one hand and its death in the other. You may find yourself oozy but let it happen. 'Reise Nach Ikea' is melting away like the clock on the wall which makes slaves of us all. 'Kaputter Hamster' is kraut kraut kraut. And with 'Büro Für Berufskunde' the journey ends so gently. Best wishes."

Esel is the mystery minimal electronic label of Germany. They don't release 12"'s, nor the industry standard "double-maxi". They mostly release "albums", in this case 9 tracks. All on one piece of vinyl. No English (or even Deutsch!) description is supplied (for all I know, these guys might dream in Plattdüütsch). Pastor Pitzner's music is comprised of lo-fi pop loops, and is very charming.

"Relaxed and swinging minimal techhouse for all occasions." Vinyl-only release from this former Ware recording artist. In Manchester they describe this as "lying somewhere between the swing of Lawrence and as if Larry Heard had composed solely for the floor."

"James Din A4 is really one of the most promising new artists in terms of producing exciting unusual minimal tracks which work in clubs as well as at home. Pure spontaneous creativity following the steps of early Profan releases. This 8-track Mini LP contains at least 2 secret weapons to make the late-night dancefloor cheer."
