Tikhet are Sepalot and Angela Aux. Each of the ten tracks on mixtape suite is likely to evoke such absurd associations in music lovers. The album authentically and unpredictably creates a feeling of total boundlessness with a global approach. Effortlessly uniting an entire record shop within itself. One time you think of Madlib or the Bee Gees, then of Joan Baez or Amon Düül, other times of Beck or Gorillaz. Between boom bap and Krautrock, disco styles, folk references and trip-hop vibes spread out organically. Analogue percussion blurs with '90s sampling sound aesthetics. Tikhet sounds unplanned and anarchic, with a raw core and some well-rounded patina on the outside. Featuring Feekind.

Chasing dopamine in free fall through a burning world. Looks that make you want to go swimming, even though you know you're going to drown. Mental health, body positivity, queerness, sexualized violence and self-determination: Elena Rud sings about these things, loud and wild. With a voice that sometimes seems on the verge of breaking and then hangs deep in the ear canal again. As raspy as after a handful of cigarettes. So distinctive that you will recognize them again and again from a big bunch of newcomer bands. Because the songs go through the marrow and bone. Under the skin or into the heart. Maybe left in and right out, but it's good in between. Because you feel that you're no longer quite so alone with yourself and this shitty world. Also featuring SALÒ.

Mola's music is the unadorned antithesis to a rosy world. She celebrates herself to death, pulls you into her inner chaos and does without the usual romanticizing transfiguration of the merciless disorientation that catches up with you on the way home after the last cigarette. Mola knows better than anyone that she is a border commuter -- and she has never made a secret of it. Unconventional pop music that bundles the nonchalance of great soul anthems, the grace of the Italo-disco of the eighties and the ingenuousness of lascivious hip-hop bangers instead of trying to sound modern by force. Mola celebrates defeat, exposes life lies, criticizes adulthood, documents radical mood swings. She balances along the abyss in her ball gown, jokes about things you don't joke about, praises and curses intoxication and love. You can now see Mola supporting Fatoni, Roy Bianco & the Abbrunzati Boys, Mayberg, and Kaffkiez in a flurry of strobe lights after sold-out "nothing breaks me" shows in Munich, Cologne, Berlin, and Hamburg. In the end, it doesn't matter, because when you are overcome by this spontaneous feeling that is far removed from any rationality, you don't ask any questions. It tastes like the melancholy of a summer in its last breaths, like the last drink of an uncompromisingly insane night. There is sweating, pogoing and feeling together. Even where it hurts. You are not just an onlooker or a silent spectator, but part of this empowering feeling of "we." Featuring BabyJoy and Ami Warning.

Behind Manni Mono hides Schu von Blumentopf, he was 1/5 of the band Blumentopf and has given the band as a lyricist and rapper several Top 10 albums. He finally exchanged the mic for a sampler. With Pension Central he now celebrates his vinyl long-player debut. Almost infinite samples and set pieces are disassembled down to their molecular structure and put together to a nerdy and yet unique mosaic. Pension Central is a true Frankenstein in the world of beat.

Whether crypto-man or crypto-substance, it will be a disastrous affair in any case. Mola's music is the unadorned antithesis to a rosy world. She celebrates herself to death, pulls you into her inner chaos and does without the usual romanticizing transfiguration of the merciless disorientation that catches up with you on the way home after the last cigarette. The album tells a dark yet fragile story of uncompromising autopilot nights that unite and divide us. Temporarily reduced to intimacy, then escalating into iconic '80s Purple Rain pathos, Mola illustrates the emotional chaos that the inner dialogue of left and right brain triggers in her. With Mola, all experiences are suspiciously turned inside out to see what is hidden behind the everyday facade. She turns her inner self inside out and addresses what hurts her -- undistorted, not exaggerated, approachable. Mola describes her own low blows with defiant self-confidence, without a sentimental glaze. Scheee Im Sommer (Snow in Summer) could be an album by an '80s punk rock band with heartbreak, but also by an alternative band from the '90s shortly before their holiday in a Betty Ford clinic. Features Haiyti, Fatoni, and Roy Bianco & die Abbrunzati Boys.

Lo-fi was rather an involuntary attribute in the '90s. '90s hip-hop instrumentals with the sound aesthetics of old 12-bit samplers are the blueprint for everything that runs under chill and lo-fi beats today. For this double-LP, Sepalot dug deep into his demo box, listened to countless DAT cassettes and dug up 36 pearls from the period 1996-2002. Sepalot: "I had to laugh a lot at times and was sometimes embarrassed, but the innocence of the early days also has an insane power. The best beats demos and sketches from my early days now get their moment." Old demos from DAT tapes.

2019 release; 2021 repress. The first Sepalot Quartet album. "The issue was always: How could I transport my work as a producer and beatmaker on to a stage? How can something, that is happening behind locked doors in the studio, emerge into a live experience?" With this vivacious live quartet, he has found his answer. Songs from a productive solo career spanning a period of over ten years, Sepalot has a wide variety of songs to pick and choose from. Even in the live set up, his love for electronic music remains unaffected and the subtle influence of hip-hop is undeniable. Despite this being the initial state of the project, a distinctive sound has evolved from jamming together in dark rehearsal rooms. The different characters complement each other like a puzzle on stage, though Sepalot's part as producer and svengali is undisputable. Fabian Füss on the drums -- longtime partner on the drum set and the voice behind Sepalot's unmistakable radio hit "Rainbows". Angela Aux on the bass and mostly the voice of the quartet is a writer and solo artist in his own right. Having released albums on Millaphone his roots are undeniably in hip hop with a heavy tinge of folk. Matthias Lindermayr on the trumpet, who originated from a family of musicians, is highly decorated jazz virtuoso. His very own releases grace modern jazz specialist label Enja Records. Finally, Sepalot brings them together and making them more than the sum of its parts. The electronic beats, the pulsating bass, Sepalot's enthusiasm for ambient sound design -- all this remains unchanged and is garnished with the element of jazz. A unique, unequalled sound that strives for higher ideals and has immense international potential.

NOWNEXT is a voyage from the past to the future, from now to then, from what's behind us to what's waiting for us just around the next corner. In musical terms these are the gaps that appear when you drift between genres and take risks. Strolling far from the well-traveled Zeitgeist path. The second album by the Sepalot Quartet floats through this timeless space and fills those cracks with a relaxed fusion of jazz meets indie meets electronica, not once denying Sepalot's hip hop roots. This freedom of expression can also be considered a sign of our times, with a generation coming of age without rivalling youth phenomena. Where a jazz show is held in a techno club with no further explanation needed. With their first release, the Quartet still relied on remakes from the established Sepalot discography, with their current work they laid the foundation for a truly solid form of musical self-discovery. NOWNEXT is enlivened by this spirit and offers a fascinating and confident blend of varied sounds spanning time and space. With all this being said, NOWNEXT is truly an up to date album of international format, feeding from the rich experience of its diverse members (Sepalot, Angela Aux, Fabian Füss, Matthias Lindermayr). Memories, associations, and a well carved vision are melted into a masterpiece. NOWNEXT is the latest offering by Sepalot and his quartet and needs to experience with all senses.
